Public Green Spaces
At BPR Erosion BioSock, we believe protecting nature shouldn’t come at the expense of disrupting it. In this sample park project, we supported erosion control and runoff management in a community green space that had been weathered by time, heavy foot traffic, and seasonal rains. The local soil had begun washing into nearby walking paths and streams, threatening both the beauty and safety of the area.
Our trenchless BioSock erosion barriers were the perfect fit. Unlike silt fencing that requires digging and disturbs the landscape, our compost-filled socks were installed directly onto the ground surface with minimal impact to the environment. Made from natural materials, they allowed water to pass through while holding sediment firmly in place. Over time, they also helped encourage native plant regrowth and reduce long-term maintenance costs.
This erosion control solution not only helped preserve the natural flow of the park, but also aligned with community values for sustainability and green innovation. For parks and land stewards looking for a low-labor, high-impact way to care for the land, BPR Erosion BioSock provides peace of mind with a personal touch. As a family-owned business rooted in New England, we treat every job like it’s in our own backyard.
